General comments
Een langere (intraveneuze) therapieduur kan aangewezen zijn bij: neonaten, kinderen met relevante comorbiditeit (zoals immuundeficientie, (functionele) asplenie), bij aanwezigheid van kunstmateriaal, bij ernstige en/of multifocale ziekte, bij ongebruikelijke of zeer resistente verwekkers.
