Remarks:

Dosis doxycycline: 4 mg/kg/dag in 2 dosis, maximaal 2 dd 100 mg. Indien patiënt te licht en maar 100 mg/dag mag krijgen, dan 1 dd 100 mg geven.

Dosis doxycycline: 4 mg/kg/dag verdeeld over 2 doses, maximaal 2 dd 100 mg.  Indien patiënt te licht en maar 100 mg/dag mag krijgen, dan 1 dd 100 mg geven. 

General comments

Er wordt geen tandverkleuring gezien bij het geven van doxycyline bij kinderen onder de 8 jaar. Dit kan daarom ook bij kinderen onder de 8 jaar gegeven worden. Zie: www.cdc.gov/rmsf/doxycycline/index.html

Overweeg bijstarten van corticosteroïden indien geen klinische verbetering optreedt na switch naar een aantal dagen doxycycline bij persisterend koorts en ziek zijn.
